Last Monday, 11/05, the first ESIG webinar took place, the topic addressed was: “The new normal in Brazilian Education: Case Federal Institute of Sergipe (IFS)”. We count on the participation of Prof. Alysson Barreto – Dean of Education at IFS, who shared her experience in education, the lessons learned and the challenges of this “new normal”, which we are already facing.

Unlike the live, the webinar promoted even more interactivity, with an open microphone scheme for questions, providing a living space for the exchange of ideas and experiences among all participants, making the moment even richer. Some of the themes addressed were: hybrid education (online vs. offline), logistics / challenges for the implementation of remote education during the pandemic in public institutions and how to circumvent the prejudice surrounding distance education in the minds of many Brazilians.
